Sweet meets heat in this fresh strawberry salsa—your new go-to for taco night, BBQ season, or just scooping straight from the bowl. With juicy BC strawberries, zesty lime, and just enough kick from jalapeño, it’s a vibrant, no-sugar-added way to enjoy one of June’s most beloved fruits.
Ingredients:
2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
1 small jalapeño, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Zest and juice of 1 lime
Pinch of sea salt
Optional: 1/2 avocado, diced (for a creamy twist)
Directions:
In a medium bowl, combine strawberries, red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro.
Add lime zest and juice, and a pinch of salt.
Gently toss to combine. Let sit for 10–15 minutes to let flavours meld.
Serve with tortilla chips, spoon over tacos, grilled fish, or grain bowls.
Tips:
Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in the fridge for up to one day.
